Baseball Marshmallows and Homemade Hot Chocolate

Baseball season is here but it is still cold outside! I made these cute marshmallow baseballs and homemade hot chocolate for my son’s baseball team as a warm treat!

It snowed on opening day and now outdoor practices begin for my little guy’s baseball team. Spring is a little late this year. I thought of a fun idea to warm the team up after practicing in this cold weather…

Hot chocolate baseball style :)

It’s really simple, I use regular size marshmallows and cut them in half to make 2 disks. ( Kitchen scissors work the best) Dust the cut end of marshmallow in powder sugar. Brush off excess sugar. Then I take a food coloring marker to draw to red curved lines on either side, to resemble a baseball. Repeat drawing on other side. It’s that easy.

I made up a batch of my favorite homemade hot chocolate and we are off to the diamond. :)

Tip : You could easily make these into any shaped sports ball: soccer , basketball or tennis. These food coloring markers can be found at your local craft store ( Michael’s and JoAnn Fabrics )
